Christmas Tree Puzzle

This is a design I came across online, then created in Inkscape - not an original concept by myself. It's specifically designed to work with 1/8-inch (~3mm) birch plywood. If you're using material of a different thickness, you'll need to modify the slots that fit together. The complete file is 240 mm x 200 mm and cut out perfectly on my stock K40 w/ K40 whisperer. I used masking tape on the back to minimize burn marks. If it's helpful to anyone - my K40 is a standard model with new bed, alignment laser, and air assist, my settings for 3mm birch ply are: Raster engrave: 5 mA at 200 mm/sec Vector engrave: 3 mA at 50 mm/sec (lines sometimes appear wavy - may need to slow down) Vector cut: 10 mA at 10 mm/sec The blue vector engrave lines are just there to help line the pieces up - they're slightly undersized so that they don't show when assembled. You don't really need to engrave them if you don't want. If you wanted more text on the model, you could use the blue lines as margins to see where the next layer will sit. The text can be changed to whatever you like and the small tree image was from some free tree font that I found online. As is, everything should fit together fine - but it won't really stay together if you try to move it. If you want it all to stay together, you'll either need much tighter tolerances or a couple drops of wood glue. The top of the tree also has some very thin spots - so be careful taking it out of the frame. Enjoy and let me know if there's any other information that would be helpful...this is my first project. Happy Holidays
