This is a custom-made funnel end designed to fit seamlessly over 3/4" SharkBite brand PEX, transforming it into an affordable Christmas tree watering system. Small yet crucial channels are carefully crafted in the end to allow air to escape, thereby preventing water flow from being impeded by a column of air that might form within the pipe. As a result, no glue is required to attach this funnel to the pipe successfully. A 5-foot section of PEX can be easily acquired at Lowes for approximately $2.50 at the time of writing (12/22/2018), and with filament and electricity costs totaling around $3.50, the overall expense remains remarkably low.
