Christmas tree optimized for printing in vase mode.
The hole in the bottom allows a LED tealight to be placed inside.

As an option it is possible to print a second element that can be fitted inside. It will give the illusion of stars when the LED tealight is on.

Print instructions

Material: PLA
Printer: I3 MK3S, MMU2S (MMU not necessary)
Slicing of tree: 0.3mm layer, vase mode
Slicing of stars: 0.2mm layer, normal mode (no infill)

Assenbly guide (see also photos)

Bottom of the tree is punched out after the print and remaining filamenet at the edge of the hole is removed.

If the star element is used it is folded to an overlapping cone with the two 1mm high edges pointing inwards. Cone is pushed into the tree and extended to final diameter. This will allow the two sides with the 1mm edged to rest against each other and keep the cone in position.

Comments
If tree and cone with stars are printed in same colour you will get the most "classic" appearance. More wild creations can be made by combining two different colours. There is room to experiment. The cone with stars is relatively easy to dismount by using the "Prusa pliers" that came with the printer kit.

Designed in TinkerCad
