Customize and print your own Christmas tree today! You can hang it or stand it on a nice foot made from 5mm plywood, for example. There are three different types and sizes of Christmas trees available to download directly in .stl format. Save the forest by not cutting down real trees. Instead, customize and print one that's perfect for you. Play with the customizer to create your own tree, from simple ones to complex designs that will put your 3D printer to the test. You can also download pre-made STL files or check out remixes. I'm thrilled to see how people have customized my design, including bre who created the tallest and most twisted Christmas tree for the ornament contest on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:201963. Merry Christmas! This Christmas tree was designed with OpenSCAD, using different sizes of nuts (thanks to MCAD library) extruded into cylinders. I also added reversed cylinders to prevent 3D printing problems. After several tests, it seems to be working well. You can use your printed tree in three ways: * With a wood foot: Simply cut and assemble a small cross from 5mm plywood. * Hang it with a small thread at the top of the tree. * Use both or neither of these options. The file is also great for stress-testing your printer when you increase the branch and torsion parameters. Please share your results!
