Christmas Tree by tc_fea with alternate top
thingiverse
I really loved this tree design, but wanted a fuller top, so I made some changes. The original can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:38016. To make the tree more full-bodied, I redesigned the top piece and reduced the space between the top 4 layers. I also enlarged the connectors between branches to give them a snugger fit when printed on my printer. Still using super glue to hold the pieces together, I probably didn't need it. Thanks to tc_fea for this amazing design! Print Settings Printer: Custom MendelMax 1.5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm layer height Infill: 20% Notes: The branches are 1mm thick, so print with a divisible layer height, like .2 or .25. I printed everything at 160% scale with a .4mm line thickness and a 1.2mm wall using Inland forest green PLA from MicroCenter. Sliced with Cura.
