I built an alternate holder for the tree itself, which I plugged into the "official tree stump". I did this for two main reasons: - I wanted to incorporate LED RGB stripes with a china-made LED controller that utilizes IR technology. - I wasn't satisfied with how the tree was being held in place by visible clamps. It's not exactly groundbreaking, but perhaps someone can find it useful. After printing the holder, you can warm and bend it slightly to make the tree stump more noticeable.
