Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree

thingiverse

A tree trunk model I designed specifically for Christmas has been posted, albeit a bit out of season due to the lingering two feet of snow on the ground. The design was originally created to accommodate a custom battery pack, circular toggle switch, and circuit board controlling two individually addressable LED strips. An alternative version without cutouts for the toggle switch and LED routing is also available online. This tree trunk model can be paired with various tree models found on Thingiverse, including the one uploaded by idig3d (thing:1913982). Many other trees printed in vase mode can also be used. However, it's likely that users will need to scale down the design to accommodate most Cartesian printers, as I pushed the limits of height using my Anycubic Kossel. Additional details on the battery pack and its functionality are planned for a future repost. Meanwhile, pictures will be added once they become available. A .step file has also been included for those interested in remixing this design.
