Christmas Spinners
cults3d
A fun little project I designed for a school fundraiser. The spinners might be a bit too big for smaller kids to comfortably grasp while spinning, and the lack of significant weight combined with high-drag shapes results in unimpressive spin times, but hopefully, their cute appearance makes them a decent mini-gift nonetheless. Adding small color details with enamel modeling paint gives them a finished look. Designed to print with 0.25mm layers. Printing with other thicknesses might not work as well together. I recommend printing at 100% infill to maximize the weight. You may need to scale up or down about 1% depending on your printer's tolerance and how well they fit with your bearings. If you print parts in white, green, and red plastic, there are a whopping 8100 possible combinations. This design uses standard 608 ball bearings. I'm open to licensing for anyone interested in producing these commercially.
