Christmas Spinners
thingiverse
I created a mini-gift project for a school fundraiser that features cute spinners with high-drag shapes and a lack of significant weight. The result is unimpressive spin times, but the design's visual appeal makes up for it. Adding small color details with enamel modeling paint gives the product a finished look. This project requires printing with 0.25mm layers to ensure proper fitment. Printing at 100% infill will maximize the weight of the spinner. You may need to scale the design up or down by 1% to accommodate your printer's tolerance and bearings. With three different plastic colors - white, green, and red - you can create 8100 unique combinations. The project uses standard 608 ball bearings for added stability. The caps are inspired by 2ROBOTGUY's excellent Tri Fidget Spinner Toy, which can be found on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1802260 If you're interested in producing these spinners commercially, I'm open to licensing opportunities.
