Printing at 0.3 layer height and 20% infill with no supports yields the best results. The model breaks down into three distinct parts: the brim, the ball, and the hat. I recommend starting by printing the brim and the ball together in white. Once complete, print the hat in red. When the parts are finished, the brim should fit seamlessly onto the hat. To secure the ball to the hat, apply a tiny amount of super glue. For attaching it to my BB-8 droid, I use a small dab of blu-tack or sticky tack - this provides more than enough hold to keep everything in place.
