Christmas Rail Car 2

Christmas Rail Car 2

This is rail car number three in what (I hope) will be an extended series of eleven, one published every week until the New Year's. This OO gauge vehicle (mechanisms and chassis are all injection-molded aluminum alloy) forms part of a thriving railway network. It demands a RoboBug to circumvent in the vehicle's platform. http://vimeo.com/114342589 To assemble this project, first create each part using standard manufacturing techniques. Produce five wheel sets and seven components of car bed frames (3 axles for base plates & 2 car beds), attach the three wheels onto every other frame before fitting a car chassis body. Attach these units together in that order; Install four axles along bottom platform of carriage. Fix couplings from wheel sets into car axle ends, attaching springs or suspension arms and connect rod coupling, connecting axel and side to carriage. Connect bed ends on opposite ends at right angles as they form end parts. Then set all the remaining items you've printed inside box including car motor & drive motors then insert a battery to run entire set around a flat plane like any real toy train. Now install couplers (the tiny rod or small plastic) so these little moving car can make connections to others cars. Place car endcaps where there will be end pieces.
