Christmas Ornament Hook Container

Christmas Ornament Hook Container

Typically, we store our Christmas tree ornament hooks in a plastic baggie, only to have them become a tangled mess by next Christmas, requiring us to shake them apart. To address this issue, I designed a container to bring order to storing these hooks. After considering several ideas, I settled on a simple solution: slide the narrow end of each hook over the center pillar and stack them on top of each other. Most Christmas hooks have a distinct narrow and wide end; I prefer to secure the narrow end first, then slip the wide end over the top. Closing the lid is easy once you've done this. The pillar's design includes a wider top that prevents hooks from falling off in case of an accident, but it's not so wide that you can't pull the hooks over it. This is possible because most Christmas hooks are flexible. To release the locking tabs on the base, squeeze the lid from both ends.
