The clip measures 0.4 inches at the throat and 0.5 inches at its base. This hook is engineered to securely grasp the top edges of standard wooden fence boards (US). Originally conceived for hanging Christmas string lights, it has been strengthened to accommodate a wide range of additional uses. For outdoor applications, I strongly suggest printing in ASA to ensure UV resistance.
