You can line your yard with small lights by using a specialized clip that allows you to insert a standard 2.5 inch nail. I used a nail that was 4mm in diameter, and the clip fit snugly around a 10mm diameter part of the light. Note that these lights are LEDs, so they don't get hot; if you're using non-LEDs, you might want to consider a different material. I added a second clip with a slightly wider opening and a larger hole, which fits an 8D 2.5 inch nail perfectly.
