I wanted to design basic forms that can rest on top of a Christmas light fixture. This is the initial attempt. Two alternatives are presented; The first option is a solid shape (Print with no infill, 2 shell layers, drill out the bottom layer to fit snugly around the light). The second option features an outer shell, with a wall thickness of 0.1mm. Printing at 0.05 or 0.1mm resolution is recommended, and a clear, white, or fairly translucent PLA or PET material is ideal for achieving the desired effect.
