Christmas lantern with lithopanes - (for electric light sources)
pinshape
I made this lantern way back in 2015 specifically for the Christmas celebration, and it utilizes 3D printed litophanes as shades, which are included. Now I've reworked it a bit and decided to share it with everyone. The effect is really charming. (Although most of the images were rendered, the real object performed just as well or even better) You will need a printer bed size of 140x140mm to print out parts. When assembled, this lantern measures 140x140x172mm. You can only use electric light sources. I've prepared and included a holder for traditional 3.5V E10 bulbs (It gives nice natural warm light) If you plan to power it with AA batteries - here is well fitted holder available for free download: https://pinshape.com/items/485... For litophanes part please use some natural non colored material like ABS or PLA (natural colour is kind of "butter creamy yellow" and gives good semitransparency). Then for the rest of elements use opaque white. IMPORTANT: Following parts require limited support max height (support Z-roof = 2.2mm), that's for hinges to print properly. - 04 support max height 2.2mm.stl - 05 support max height 2.2mm.stl
