NEW AND IMPROVED!v2 available at: https://www.printables.com/model/303357-christmas-countdown-cubes-v2Easier printing and assembly, better connections, Grinchier font!Looking atElproducts' remixof4frika's Babbo NataleI realized that neither was exactly what I wanted. So I started from scratch with a fresh sketch of a cartoon Santa, designed in Adobe Illustrator and extruded in Tinkercad.Begin by printing the base and backplate, then print the face and hat pieces, and glue them up on the backplate (I used CA glue). if you want Santa to have a different colored face, paint it before gluing (I used a sand-colored acrylic). Finally, press the eyes into place on the face. To stand Santa above the base, print a copy of the connecting rod at 99% (so it will fit properly).Next, print the cubes. Finally, if you want to insert the digits in a different color, print Numerals and Numeral 5 (I goofed and left five out of the original set). If you do print the inset numerals, I advised trimming a small chamfer onto the backside edges so the fit more correctly into the insets on the cubes. I did this with an X-Acto knife, pressed the digit lightly into place, placed the cube on the counter with that side down, and then pounded the cube down on the digit. Your mileage may vary.I printed the nose, base and hat in Sunlu fire engine red, the backplate, connector rod, and eyes in Creality black, the tassel, hatband, face, beard, and mustache in Creality white, the cubes in Makerbot translucent red, and the inset numerals in a Zhoupu shine silk green bronze.Print SettingsPrinter Brand:CrealityPrinter: Ender 3 ProRafts:Doesn't MatterSupports: NoResolution:0.2Infill: 20%Filament: Various PLA Various Category: Interactive Art
