These files can be used to craft festive ornaments or decorations, such as Christmas baubles, that feature a freely rotating loop for attaching string. I've experimented with adding an old walnut inside one, but you could gift something more unique and interesting within the hollow of these decorative spheres. The spherical design draws inspiration from a football, combining pentagons and hexagons to create its distinctive shape. You can opt to print just the frame or add additional details like pentagons for a football-like appearance, stars, or even a half-and-half combination of both. Some of the hexagons are designed to resemble snowflakes. When printed with PLA, 60 mm diameter balls typically weigh between 2 and 7 grams, depending on the chosen design elements. The frame bars measure 1x1 mm in thickness. This project is compatible with a basic Ender 3 printer setup.
