I chose to craft my own Christmas ornaments so I could experiment with various possibilities. They tend to be more intriguing when designed with faceted shapes. I've printed both with and without supports, discovering that PLA works best without them. Even with support structures, the undersides of the balls often have imperfections. You can find the OpenSCAD file included, enabling you to make modifications as needed. These models print effectively with 0.5mm thick shells and a 20% infill level. For added weight to balance when hanging on dense branches, try using 40% infill instead.
