# Chopsticks # ## Versions ## **Version 1:** - [`chopstick_extrusion_no_twist.stl`](./chopstick_extrusion_no_twist.stl) goes from a square to circle, without conjoining twist. **Version 2:** - [`chopstick_square_to_round_untapered.stl`](./chopstick_square_to_round_untapered.stl) and do not have tapered egdes or rounded base **Version 3:** - [`chopstick_square_to_round.stl`](./chopstick_square_to_round.stl) is the final file, with rounded edges and curved bottom. - [`chopstick_square_to_round_horizontal.stl`](./chopstick_square_to_round_horizontal.stl) is just the same file but rotated to import into slicing software laying on a flat face. **Version 3.d:** - [`chopstick_dukes.stl`](./chopstick_dukes.stl) has the same form as [version 3](./chopstick_square_to_round.stl) above. The difference is that [`v3.d`](./chopstick_dukes.stl) has the name "DUKES" inscribed into the face. This face should be facing up when printed with rafts and supports. If a vertical component is selected, it is recommend to rotate by 90\deg, so the chopsticks lay flat on the bed (similar to what is done in `chopstick_square_to_round_horizontal.stl`). My personal preference is to scale x, y, and z to 107.48% of current size, for final dimensions of: x: 6.45mm y: 230mm z: 6.45mm raft: yes supports: yes infill: 20%-100% (higher for better strength) Printed with [walnut wood HTPLA](https://www.proto-pasta.com/collections/all/products/matte-fiber-htpla-walnut-wood?variant=37153659977889) filament and ["Steel-filled Metal Composite PLA"](https://www.proto-pasta.com/collections/all/products/stainless-steel-pla?variant=1204178344). ---- ---- ### Wood (HTPLA) Printing Settings ### > Setting used when printing with ["Walnut Wood" HTPLA](https://www.proto-pasta.com/collections/all/products/matte-fiber-htpla-walnut-wood?variant=37153659977889): >> print speed: 80mm/sec
>> infill: 100%
>> bed temp: $50^{\circ}C$
>> nozzel temp: $210^{\circ}C$
>> rafts: yes
>> supports: yes
>> retraction: yes
>> avoid crossing outline for travel movements: yes (3.0) ---- ---- ### Steel Printing Settings ### > Setting used when printing with ["Steel-filled Metal Composite PLA"](https://www.proto-pasta.com/collections/all/products/stainless-steel-pla?variant=1204178344) >> print speed: 30mm/sec
å >> infill: 100%
>> bed temp: $55^å{\circ}C$
>> nozzel temp: $225^{\circ}C$
>> rafts: yes
>> supports: yes
>> retraction: yes
>> avoid crossing outline for travel movements: yes (3.0) >> extrusion multiplier: 100% >> extrusion width: ${nozzle_diameter} + 5mm = 40mm
