Chocolate molds

thingiverse

This project draws inspiration from Thingiverse's 661482 design and also from the book "MakerBot in the Classroom: An Introduction to 3D Printing and Design." We discovered a lot about how chocolate behaves when poured into a mold. Chocolate flows best into rounded spaces. I believe it would have been better if we had left the rafts on the objects before placing them in the silicone. The raft may have created a smoother opening for the mold, preventing the need to carve out overhanging areas with an exacto knife as we did. This process was necessary to ensure the chocolate could be easily removed from the mold.
