I haven't printed this design yet, but I expect it to work best on an Objet because the details are too intricate for a Makerbot. Applying a texture to the surface of this object sounds like a great idea, and if you know how to do that, please share your knowledge with me. Currently, I'm using Solidworks to design this piece, but if there's another way to achieve this look, let me know! Thanks, Juliana. -Update: I've finished the design at 0.9 inches wide and 0.1 inch tall, and I've reduced the font size significantly – it's now too small to be considered readable.
