Valery Pavlovich Chkalov, a legendary Soviet test pilot and Hero of the Soviet Union, accomplished the incredible feat of making the first non-stop flight across the North Pole. The sculptor behind his iconic bust is Imranova Yakub Alibayevich. A high-resolution model of his likeness was carefully scanned and then retopologized to create a detailed digital representation, which was further refined through a process called card baking.
