Chisel/Plane Sharpening Jig - metric
thingiverse
Awesome original design!Redesigned the piece so the nut holes and screw shafts would be standard metric M6 instead of imperial ~Also redesigned the nut holders for standard metric M6, smoother touch and embeded nutOriginal Instructions :This is a chisel/plane sharpening jig. It accommodates chisels as small as 0.25 inch and plane blades as wide as 2.25 inch. There are 2 holding positions which I'll call the lower vise and the upper vise. Place the chisel into the vise so that its flat side is facing upward. The flat side of the chisel must be referenced against the upper lip of the vise. After printing, you will need to cut through the bridging layer of the holes. You also may need to drill through the external holes with a ¼" bit. Mine were a little tight, and you want the mobile jaw to move smoothly.Required hardware:2x M8 x 20mm hex head bolt 2x M8 Nylock nut2x 608 bearing2x M6 x 75mm hex head bolt (or 2x80mm M6 rod + 2 M6 nylon nuts)2x M6 nut
