Chip roller

Chip roller

This is a precision chip leg straightener, specifically designed for standard through-hole DIL/DIP packages that require two high-quality bearings. The design accommodates 6x17x6 bearings but can easily be adapted to suit other sizes. While it may not offer the best protection against ESD, it should be sufficient for casual hobby use. UPDATE: Upon closer inspection, I found that the central chip leg component was slightly oversized, necessitating a careful filing process to achieve the desired thickness. Additionally, the original axles proved prone to breaking under stress, so I replaced them with drilled holes in anticipation of using bolts to secure the bearings more effectively. As this is still an unfinished project, there may be further issues that require attention down the line.
