'Chip-n-Moto'
thingiverse
Human: Chip-n-Moto is a reworked version of Chip'n'Bot (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:485409)\nThis remix gives the Chip'n'Bot DC Motor Support through an L298P Ardumoto Shield\ninstead of the "Continuous" rotation SG90 "modification".\nIn making this L298P update we can eliminate the proprietary board required for the Chip'n'Bot\nand make the Chip-n-Moto a truly Open Source Project within reach of anyone with a 3D printer and a relatively small build area.\nI have included copies of the original parts on this page as well as links to the original part file at the Chip'n'Bot page.\nYou will Need:\nArduino Uno - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N298F54\nHC-SR04 Sensor - http://www.dxsoul.com/product/hc-sr04-ultrasonic-sensor-distance-measuring-module-901133696\n9v battery\n9v battery connector cap with barrel connector - http://www.dxsoul.com/product/dd15-dc-9v-battery-button-power-plug-for-arduino-2560-2560r3-uno-uno-r3-328-5-pcs-901273059\n2 rubber bands from Newspapers\n2 Adafruit DC Motor in Micro Servo Body - https://www.adafruit.com/product/2941\n1 SG90 Micro Servo - http://www.dx.com/p/towerpro-sg90-9g-mini-servo-with-accessories-12859\nL298P Ardumoto - http://www.dx.com/p/l298p-avr-lpc-stm32-uno-mega-2a-motor-driver-shield-436284\n5 zip-ties - "any" store\n1 caster - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Waxman-1-25-in-Plastic-Swivel-Caster/3683910\n| Build Instructions |\nPrint off Wheels, Sensor Support, and Chassis, if you have trouble with the wheel hubs please print off 2x Wheel Hubs and install them into the center of the wheels.\n-If you have to use the hubs please install them into the wheels with adhesive to prevent slipping.\nSecure the DC motors using zip-ties via the included slots.\nInstall the SG90 in a vertical position in the center using 2 provided screws.\nAttach the wheels onto the dc motors.\nInstall the wheels using a single screw into the center of each wheel/wheel hub\nInstall the HC-SR04 into the sensor support and secure with screws OR super glue in the corner holes.\nAffix the sensor support and servo arm onto the servo using a single screw in the middle of the servo arm to the gear.\nAttach the caster wheel onto the chassis using two zip ties or screws.\nPrepare the wires from the servo and motors by wrapping them around the chassis to fit under the arduino board.\nInstall the arduino uno board onto the chassis using the risers of your choice\nPrepare the L298P by attaching headers to pins 3, 10, 11, 12, & Vin. \nMount the L298P onto the Arduino Uno Board with the headers you installed and risers of your choice.\n\nConnect:\nPin 5 //SG90 PWM through L298P to Arduino pin 5\nPin 7 //HC-SR04 Echo through L298P to Arduino pin 7\nPin 8 //HC-SR04 Trigger through L298P to Arduino pin 8\nArduino Pin 3 to L298P board PWMA\nArduino Pin 11 to L298P board PWMB\nArduino Pin 12 to L298P board DirA\nArduino Pin 13 to L298P board DirB\nArduino Vin to L298P board Vin\nArduino GND to L298P board GND\nPWR+GND for the SG90 between the L298P to Arduino pins 5V and GND (Port)\nDC motor1 power and ground to DC Motor Connector on L298P ports 1&2\nDC motor2 power and ground to DC Motor Connector on L298P ports 3&4\n\nThe arduino sketch for Chip can be downloaded here - https://github.com/alchemaker/Chip-n-Moto
