Chip Caddy
thingiverse
I call it my Chip Caddy, a clever tool that helps me stay organized during my weekly poker games and keeps my drink safely within reach. I use it to stack my chips in rows, each capable of holding 40 standard (3.3mm thick) poker chips, while the drink holder can cradle even the largest glass with ease. This innovative design was inspired by a clever idea on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27640, but I took it in a new direction to create my own unique take. I'm already thinking about ways to improve it and welcome any constructive criticism or helpful suggestions from others. To make the Chip Caddy even more accessible, I've included both a full render and a split version for those with smaller printer beds. The split version is designed to be assembled flush against each other and glued together for a seamless look. Update: January 28, 2019 I've uploaded updated files for the full caddy and first half that should print without supports and feature a stronger connection between the cup holder and chip rows. Update: February 11, 2019 To give you even more flexibility with your Chip Caddy, I'm introducing a modular design. I've added dovetail connectors to the pieces, allowing you to build it from two to as many units as you like.
