Phalanx digit one from a Chinstrap penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica) is here. The original specimen resides within the collections of Canterbury Museum, holding accession number AV32995. A digital bone replica was produced by Daniel Thomas, a researcher at Massey University's School of Natural and Computational Sciences, using an HP SLS-2 3D Scanner along with HP 3D scan 5 software (with post-processing in Blender 2.74). The dimensions of the bounding box for this bone are 29 x 8 x 3 mm.
