Chinese zodiac pentominoes
thingiverse
These unique pentominoes are inspired by the Chinese zodiac and based on designs by Japanese teacher Sabu Oguro, published in Jerry Slocum and Jack Botermans' 1986 book Puzzles Old & New: How to Make and Solve Them. They were printed using a MakerBot, with photographs taken by Becky Stern. On December 18th at 10 AM PST, watch live as Becky streams her MakerBot printing on Ustream channel, "sternlab" (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sternlab). Learn how to create these models in OpenSCAD via DXF extrusion through a software tutorial at MAKE blog starting December 18th at 6 AM PST (http://blog.makezine.com).
