Printed chinese wall lamp with LEDs is a creative project inspired by the redwood wall lamp found on Aliexpress, which measures 32 x 22 x 11 cm in its original size. The lamp shade itself is also printable, offering endless possibilities for customization. Four interchangeable front ornaments are included: one traditional symbol, a jing-jang ornament, a dragon design, and a Chinese inscription that reads "happy home" - a thoughtful touch to welcome guests into your home. Two variants of the base plate are available: a single piece or divided into three sections, perfect for printing larger lamps. The central section offers two options: a standard full board or a lightweight plate, which I personally chose to print in one piece only. To ensure a smooth connection between parts, the surfaces must be abraded without gaps - a small detail that requires precision, but results in a lamp that sticks together seamlessly without glue. The shade parts (made from plastic paper) can be easily cut off with scissors if needed. I experimented with different colors for the lamp shade: white PLA, red PLA, and even painted one with watercolors on the inside - offering a unique look. Feel free to get creative by trying any pattern or lithophane image, or experiment with partially transparent color materials during printing.
