The Chinese navy has introduced a new missile fast attack craft (FAC) featuring a unique wave-piercing catamaran hull and stealthy characteristics. The vessel, designated 2208, was initially spotted in Qiuxin Shipyard, Shanghai in April 2004. This innovative boat signifies emerging strategies in the future operational doctrines of China's navy. As part of Camelot Inc.'s 'Professional Asian Naval Simulation' low polygon model set, a 3dsMax 9-made version of this craft is available for virtual simulation/training, still rendering, and animation projects. The model's accuracy is ensured by using CAD software to recreate the vessel's 3-view drawing from actual ship data. It comes in .max (3dsMax9 with scanline setting), .3ds, and .flt formats, and includes two camouflage texture maps: one featuring hull number 2208 for the first type 2208 FAC of its class, and another showcasing hull number 2211 for a recently commissioned type 2208 FAC. Additional textures are available in the 'ACCOMPANYING PRODUCT FILES' section at the bottom of the page.
