Chinese Coins

thingiverse

I was doing some brainstorming for gifts that I could make for my wife and daughter when I came across an interesting color changing filament. The color combination reminded me a lot of the brass and jade jewelry that I often saw in the markets of Beijing, with its intricate designs and rich history. When I went searching for some of the ancient Chinese coins I couldn't find any on Thingiverse, so I fired up Tinkercad and created some of my own. The first coin is in traditional Chinese characters and represents wealth, the second one in simplified Chinese and represents harmony, and the last is a blank one if you want to remix a customized design. My pictures show them tied up with simple twine, but I found some red cord that makes proper bracelets and jewelry.
