# Vinyl Cutter (a.k.a Plotter Drag Knife) Holder for Chinese CNC Machines. The idea was born from [Drag Knife Holder for Chinese CNC](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2940035). The original design utilizes a drag knife for Roland plotter but I redesigned it specifically for the Graphtec plotter knife. This is not a remix; instead, I re-designed with FreeCAD to incorporate improvements and modifications. Including FreeCAD design file, you can customize it for your own projects or CNC machine. For printing, my design includes gaps in screw and shaft holes diameter to account for PLA shrinking and printer precision. Those "gaps" are dependent on your printer, so please adjust accordingly. _This is still a beta version design._ * Update: Mar 11, 2020 - Added design for knife knob stick. # You will also need: * A compression spring measuring 1.2mm x 17mm x 28mm (or similar size) * Two linear rods, each measuring 6mm x 70mm * Two LM6UU linear bearings, each measuring 6mm x 12mm x 19mm * [Graphtec style drag knife head](https://www.amazon.com/Graphtec-Holder-Cutter-Plotter-Cutting/dp/B07587Q2L1/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=graphtec+knife&qid=1583849328&sr=8-1) * Five pairs of M4 x 16 screws and nuts.
