This is a portable set of Chinese Chess perfect for travel.\nWe scaled down the original design to 60% and added a new lid with "Chinese Chess" emblazoned in traditional Chinese script.\nA new chessboard graphics file has been included, ideal for printing on paper or laser etching/cutting onto wood.\nEnjoy playing!\n\nHere's a brief introduction to Chinese Chess from Wikipedia:\n\n"Xiangqi (xiàngqí), also known as Chinese chess, is a strategic board game designed for two players. It's one of the most beloved board games in China and belongs to the same family as Western (or international) chess, chaturanga, shogi, Indian chess, and janggi. Beyond China and areas with significant ethnic Chinese communities, xiangqi (cờ tướng) is also a popular pastime in Vietnam.\n\nThe game depicts a battle between two armies, with the ultimate goal of capturing the enemy's general (king). Unique features of xiangqi include the cannon (pao), which must jump to capture; a rule prohibiting the generals from facing each other directly; areas on the board called the river and palace, which restrict the movement of some pieces (but enhance that of others); and placement of the pieces on the intersections of the board lines, rather than within the squares."
