**Spindle Mount** A nice compact spindle mount that will marry an MPCNC to a 52mm cylindrical spindle. Bolts to standard MPCNC tool mount using 8 M4 20mm bolts and 2 M4 25mm bolts to tighten the bands. It holds the spindle at both ends, as close as possible to the Z axis, to minimise dreaded play in XY and Z directions. **Cable Guard** The Chinese spindle has an exposed fan that is dangerous and threatens to wrap its power cables or strip the insulation off them. This guard helps to ensure your cables do not wander into the fan. It must be printed in ABS because the Chinese 52mm spindle hits temperatures of around I don't know... 70 degrees C. **Electronics Safety Cover** The Chinese 52mm spindle controller terminals are uncovered! These terminals are 120/240VAC and the motor terminals which hit peak values of 300V (averaged over a 33% duty cycle produce the equivalent of 100VDC) They are dangerous and should not be uncovered. This quick design will stop people inadvertently touching a live wire. **Dust Extraction - Needs more work - it doesn't suck but it doesn't suck enough either!** This is probably the biggest challenge with any spindle mount, and I have tried to provide something worthwhile here. Of course, it's entirely experimental. Note well: this design does not solve the problem of setting the nozzle height. It's a first attempt really, and with the relatively small tool mount on the MPCNC, I haven't found an easy way to do this yet. The fixed height vacuum boot has dual 13mm (outer diameter) hose mounts to be attached to a household vacuum cleaner for dust extraction. I know that you can buy huge shop vacs - but I built my CNC on a budget, in an apartment -so I try to be resourceful! This design uses a clear flexible PVC hose outer diameter 13mm/ inner diameter 10mm. The hoses press fit into the dust shoe with some effort and easily clip into the upper spindle mount. (Hopefully, the press fit proves adequate). How you suspend the hoses is up to you - you're on your own here! At some point the two PVC hoses join to one and connect to your vacuum cleaner. I have what I think is a standard vacuum cleaner in Australia, the opposite of anything exotic. I added some extra filters to it. The hose outer diameter is exactly 42.5mm when you take off the hand-held nozzle. (Writing this I am thinking perhaps a better idea is to keep the hand held nozzle on and create another adapter - because taking the nozzle off all the time is an unnecessary hassle) So I will set about providing a second adaptor too.
