I am designing a chimera+ mount for my creality cr-10 that allows replacing the 30mm stock fan with a 5015 blower while also mounting a part cooling fan at the same time. This design enables you to upgrade your printer's cooling system by using a more powerful 5015 blower and adding an extra part cooling fan. The chimera+ mount is designed to be easy to install and use, making it perfect for upgrading your creality cr-10. I published another design for a chimera+ mount that has already been successful, so I'm excited to share this new version with you. I printed the chimera+ mount using 20% infill and minimal support, which resulted in a smooth and precise print. The print quality is excellent, and it works flawlessly. One of my design goals was to create a mount that doesn't reduce the print volume, allowing for prints with minimal support on my old extruder setup. While there may be a slight loss of z-height (around 1-2cm), x and y dimensions should remain unaffected for both nozzles. The leveling screws at the side of the heatsink are not blocked by this design, ensuring that your printer's calibration remains accurate. I chose to use a 5015 blower because they offer higher air pressure than traditional fans, making them ideal for upgrading your printer's cooling system. This design consists of two parts that can be screwed together using standard M3 screws, allowing for easy swapping and remixing of the part cooling duct. There are also different designs available depending on the fan type you choose, such as the Sunon (MF50151V1-B000-A99) or Titan (TFD-B5015M12B).
