Children's Night Light

A super-safe and very low-current/voltage nightlight is what I'm designing. So many of them are coming together that I've simplified the layout. A blank one will now stay in stock. Instructions Created using transparent PLA with 0.3 mm layers, no extra support required. Look at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:267662 for complete instructions on creating electronic bases. Print out the diffuser and place it over the LED. Two drums need to be printed, glued back-to-back to secure them together. Pick a picture, resize it to fit onto one drum, print it onto clear film for an overhead projector and cut it out carefully. Drum faces should be sprayed with a layer of transparent varnish while still wet. Immediately place the image on top of the varnish, this will attach the picture firmly to the drum face. Wait until dry before applying more layers of varnish. Add another layer of varnish over the top if desired for both drum faces. A special 'Twilight Sparkle' design is also available but unfortunately, no images exist yet for it - the child might have seen and now cannot return the project.
