I am designing a compact paddle for my mini-kayak Yukaghir. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1753713 This paddle measures approximately 300-310 square centimeters in size. To attach the handle, I require a 23mm inner diameter and 25mm outer diameter aluminum tube with a length of 120-150 centimeters. The resin or nylon insert protects my hands and trousers from water splashes. If you're looking for a larger paddle for adults, simply increase its size by about 130-150% and use a bigger handle tube. This design is optimized for a 200x200mm bed printer. I used "Moment-crystal" glue to attach the parts (you can also use aceton-based glue or ABS slurry). To secure the handle, I recommend using an M3-M5 bolt or rivet in combination with glue. If you're making a canoe paddle or sectional paddle, consider covering the other side of the tube with a 22.5mm cylinder to ensure it remains buoyant at all times.
