Child Safety Door Knob Cover - Modified for a Georgian Door Knob
prusaprinters
I have a weird shaped door knob that none of the CP covers fit so I had to modify Fritdiverdowns mod, so this is a mod of a mod. ;-) Looking at lowes.com to see what these 1960s door knobs are, there are a few names for the same thing but the most common name was "Georgian" so going with that. They work well, I can get through the door but my daughter had a melt down when she couldn't.... love them terrible twos. What I ended up doing: Scaled it down to fit my knob height and width. Re-cut the hole for the handle since it shrunk too (the original hole size was perfect) Raised the cutouts higher to make it easier for an adult with a big hand to reach thumb and finger in to open the door.
