Chihiros A Plus LED aquarium lamp stand
thingiverse
I'm excited about my new 200cm wide fish tank and I've made a big change from traditional tubes to LEDs. I've chosen two Chihiros A901 Plus LED bars, each measuring 90cm long, and they're now shining brightly on my tank. Since the tank is covered with glass plates, I've mounted the LED bars directly onto the glass. However, this setup has created a heat issue - yes, LEDs can get very hot! This excess heat is transferred to the tank itself, and the lack of air circulation has only added to the problem. To solve this challenge, I designed a custom stand for my LED bars. With a clever 15° angle, it allows me to position the light just right - even when sitting below the tank level, it won't blind you. The design also features a central hole for the cable, and it's made from PETG, which has proven to be heat-resistant. I printed two versions of this stand, flipping one in my slicer software to ensure perfect symmetry. The prototype shown in the photo is just that - a prototype. My current model has a longer base foot, giving it added stability during construction.
