The Church of Saint Peter in Penne is unfortunately one of the many examples of rural churches that are abandoned and falling into disrepair. It's located in San Pietro district near Pluviano district, between Portacaldaia and Lake Penne. This church was built in a sober baroque style, which suited a small country church or chapel. Unfortunately, it is now abandoned with its roof collapsed and damaged at various points. The interior is bare of any furnishings, and there are no stucco or paintings present. Even the altar is barely visible as just a trace. Various plant species have grown inside, including trees.
