The Church of Our Lady of Graces stands at the foot of the Capuchin Hill, a short distance from the urban center of Penne. Closed to worship for several decades, it has been abandoned to itself between the '70s and '80s of the past century. What remains of the religious building is now considered a ruin: the roof has completely collapsed, trees and shrubs have grown inside the only nave, the 18th-century stucco and mural paintings, which represent the decorative apparatus, appear deteriorated by atmospheric agents. Dedicated to Our Lady of Graces, it kept her statue, a good quality 18th-century figurine, which was venerated by the faithful and used for the procession on July 2, the day of this particular Marian festival, which took place until the early '60s of the past century. Since the church has been closed to worship, the statue of the Virgin is kept at the Church of the Holy Cross.
