I created this adapter for a friend who raises chickens on a small scale. He was using the red poultry nipples and inserting them into soft drink bottle caps, but they leaked. So I designed an adapter that's threaded and doesn't leak. I used the "necks and caps" thread for my soft drink side of the adapter and developed my own thread design for the poultry nipple side.
