Hi Guys, I made this water feeder because I wanted something simple as well as efficient in the sense that you fill it once using a 1.5L Cocacola bottle and then you won't have to fill it in the next 3 to 4 days depending on the weather and how much water your chicks drink. We have 6 quails and we have noticed that a 1.5L bottle is more than adequate. I hope you find it useful. Jefferson
