Chicken Nugget Cookie Cutter
thingiverse
I'm making chicken tenders that are like the store makes, but without all the salt my son can't have. He's on a special diet and only wants nuggets shaped like the ones at the store, so I make them into little nugget shapes. I've been looking for this cutter in stores for ages, but it's nowhere to be found, so I'm really excited that it prints out great when used just right. This nugget cutter works best when you cook and season your chicken first, then puree it until it's smooth. Next, get rid of any extra liquid by squeezing it out if need be, and then squish the mixture flat in a baking dish until it's 3/4 inch thick and even. Freezing it for a bit makes it easier to cut out with your new cookie cutter. Then, bread them, bake or fry, and I like to flash fry them to seal in the breading before freezing them solid on a cookie sheet for easy reheating later. I printed these nugget cutters using my Robo 3D printer, which worked great at low resolution with no rafts or supports. The PLA model turned out just as well as the ABS one, and it's perfect for making chicken nuggets that are shaped like the ones at the store but without all the salt.
