This chicken humerus was discovered archaeologically at a quarter for enslaved servants on the Oak Hill plantation site (44PY440). It was unearthed in Room 1, Test Unit 1, Layer B, Feature 2, north half during an excavation on November 15, 2015. A NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner captured its three-dimensional scan. Dr. Elizabeth Moore identified it. The Virginia Museum of Natural History provided the image.
