Chicken feeder base for 4-inch schedule 80 PVC

After discovering a flimsy chicken feeder base on Thingiverse, I decided to give it a complete overhaul. This redesigned base is specifically engineered to support 4-inch sched 80 PVC pipe. To create the tray, I cut off the bottom of a spackle bucket and used the resulting "tray" to attach this hopper base securely. Next, I screwed all the pieces together using 1.5" outdoor screws; the hopper base to the tray (on top of a block of 2x6 to catch screw tips and elevate the tray) and PVC to hopper base. This setup can hold approximately 8 pounds of food. Before assembly, I pre-drilled holes in the sides of the hopper base and PVC pipe to prevent cracking since no holes were designed into this base. This part is half of the base, so be sure to print two. If your bed is larger than mine, congratulations are in order; you can print both halves at once or even join them together in your own 3D modeling program and print it as originally intended.
