If this design is useful for you, please like it and consider following me for more updates. This is a vacuum adapter for the 10" Compound Mitre Saw from Chicago Tools. I made it to collect chips and other debris from the saw when cutting. The component is intended to be press-fit and includes a flat spot for a machine screw to hold in place in the saw, on the other end is a slip fit for a Craftsman Vacuum. On the business end of the mitre saw, the taper is from 40mm to 39mm, and on the vacuum the hole for the flexible tube is 31mm.
