A face shield frame designed specifically for smaller 3D printers with at least 140mm cubed build volume is available. This design simulates heating up to match the dimensions of the Limitless Studio's 3D Printed Face Shield in Chicago, which requires a 200x200mm build plate. A version was created using Onshape and is coiled inward to fit on a 140x140mm build plate. After printing, this version can be heated and bent to the exact same size as the original design. This modified design allows a large number of smaller printers in Chicago, particularly Flashforge Finders, to print this design, increasing overall community PPE output. The Face Shield design is widely accepted by Chicago area institutions as a stopgap PPE solution. v5 updates: 1. Larger stud diameters for better fit into 1/4" punched holes. 2. Updated elastic band holder geometry increases strength and prevents breakage. 3. Improved serrations for reliable printing. 4. 0.3mm deep material saver at the y-junction to prevent sticking of parts when stacked.
