Chicago Bar Rail Molding
thingiverse
I designed a wooden molding for my portable home bar. The molding sits around the edge of the bar on the patron's side, allowing them to rest their elbows comfortably. Initially, I intended to use lightweight ABS plastic, but wood was chosen instead. Although the final product wasn't 3D printed, I still utilized my digital model as a template for taking precise measurements during the woodworking process. The accompanying _sander.stl file provides a complementary mold of the top rail's underside, serving as a guide for attaching sandpaper to the interior surface and smoothing out the wood (or ABS) bar rail with precision.
